CONCLUSION

Image
 7.0 Conclusion The proposed “ ByteZone Cyber Cafe” setup is practical, scalable, and cost-efficient. Using a star topology ensures reliable connectivity and simple troubleshooting. UnifiFiber guarantees a fast, stable connection for both gaming and browsing. With the given setup, the business can attract a broad target market while maintaining efficient network management and future upgrade potential.

INTERNET ACCESS

Image
5.0 Internet Access Internet access allows devices to connect to the global network (the Internet) to exchange data and communicate. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) offer this access using technologies like fiber optics, DSL, cable, satellite, or mobile networks. Standard protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) manage how data is transmitted, ensuring reliable and accurate communication between devices. Service Provider: UnifiFiber Type of Usage :  High-speed internet for browsing, gaming, streaming, downloads Coverage :  Available in selected locations Bandwidth :  100 Mbps Monthly Cost :  RM129.00

NETWORK DIAGRAM SOFTWARE USED

Image
6.0 Network Diagram Software Used Step 1: List Out Network Devices The diagram was created using Microsoft Visio , a diagramming tool commonly used for designing network layouts. The user began by selecting the Basic Network Diagram template from the Network category, which provides a set of standard networking shapes and symbols. This template serves as the foundation for building structured and accurate representations of network topologies. K ey components such as PCs, a switch, a  router, a  server, a  printer, and wireless access points. Step 2:   Star Topology The network follows a star topology , where all PCs are individually connected to a central switch. This layout makes it easy to manage connections and isolate issues, as each device communicates through the central hub rather than directly with each other.  Using Visio's Connector Tool , each device was linked to the switch to complete the star topology structure. The switch also conne...

IP ADDRESSING

Image
  4.0 IP Addressing For the cyber cafe network using VLSM subnetting. The network requires IPs for 10 PCs, 1 server, 1 printer, and a few reserved IPs for future use. (total = 20 hosts). Use private IP range: 192.168.0.0/24   No. of bits:  2 5  = 32 bits   No. of hosts per subnet: 2 n  - 2 = 2 5  - 2           = 30 host   No. of Subnet Mask/CIDR: 32 – 5 = 27 bit (/27)   192.168.0.0/27 Network Address:     11000000 10101000 00000000 000 || 00000 Broadcast Address: 11000000 10101000 00000000 000 || 11111 Network Address Broadcast Address Address  Range Valid (Usable) Address 192.168.0.0 192.168.0.31 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.0.31 192.168.0.1 – 192.168.0.30 IP Addressing of the item: Item IP Addressing Server 192.168.0.1 Router 192.168.0.2 PC 192.168.0.3 - 192.168.0.16 Printer ...

NETWORK TOPOLOGY AND DESIGN

Image
3.0 Network Topology and Design 3.1 Proposed Topology Cyber cafes use a star topology because it is easy to manage and has fault isolation capabilities. Each client is connected to a central switch or router.   3.2 Networking Devices Desktop Computers Server        Network Switch (24-port) Wireless router (for Wi-Fi access) Ethernet cables (CAT6) RJ-45 connectors Access Points Printer 3.3   Communication Media Wired                CAT6 Ethernet cable for reliability and speed.     Wireless                Wi-Fi connectivity for mobile devices and flexible seating areas.
